a Medici-style patronage relationship to fund a pursuit of mastery

Through a month of hands-on, technical study of human anatomy this May, I will be deepening my understanding of somatics and the expressive portrayal of the figure within my work.
Historically, artists have not pursued this type of study alone.
Florence occupies a singular place in the history of art patronage. From medieval guild structures through the height of the Renaissance, sustained support for artists made possible the study, experimentation, and mastery that shaped Western figurative tradition. This lineage supported artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Donatello, Botticelli, and Brunelleschi, whose work continues to inform how the human figure is understood and depicted.

I am opening a small circle of modern-day patrons who wish to participate in this period of study.
The support will make this month of focused anatomical education in Florence possible.
I will be sharing with patrons my original anatomical studies, studio writings, and works developed directly from this Florentine experience.
Four tiers of patronage are available below, each offering a distinct way to engage with and support this period of study.
